For her Dream Residency, artist Anne Glassner will spend five nights in the philomena+ exhibition space. Sleep has been a central aspect of Anne Glassner’s artistic work for some time now. This time, she delves deep into her unconscious and works on ways to visualise memories and dreams.

In the last exhibition week of Traumspeisekammer, a project in collaboration with the film and theatre artist Gagik Arshák, she invites visitors to come by and preserve their dreams in the Traumspeisekammer.
In the evening, Anne Glassner opens her sleeping place in the Traumspeisekammer to visitors, who can take part in different performative actions, also in collaboration with other artists.

artist

(*1984 in Waldviertel) is a visual artist and performer based in Vienna, Austria. Her performances, videos, installations and drawings deal with intensive observations of recurring, everyday acts. The theme of sleep has been a central point of her artisticwork for some time now, which she expresses, amongst other ways, through “sleep performances“, in which she allows others to observe her sleeping in unusual places. In her works she blurs the boundaries between art and life as well as fiction and reality, and she raises questions concerning selfperception and external perception as well as the intersections of the private and the public.
