SOUAD MANI, “Of Myths and Things. On Board Impressions VIII” , Gafsa, Video 15’12”
This video of about twenty minutes, made in July 2017, is a filmed account of a clandestine nocturnal “drift” by the artist, accompanied by computer scientists in the phosphate washing plant of Redayef, an important mining site in Tunisia. The artist is filming while cameras pick up data normally not communicated indicating abnormally high local pollution rates.

12/04 – 13/04/2020, 12 am  – 9 pm
MOUNIR FATMI, “Nada – Dance with the Dead”, 2015-2016
HD video editing, 17’42’’, Courtesy of the artist. Nada, a black and tragic video montage, combines about twenty minutes of archive images of the wars of the 20th century and etchings by the Spanish painter Francisco Goya devoted to the war waged in Spain at the beginning of the 19th century by Napoleonic conquering armies. Time has passed but the cruelty remains, man remains a wolf to man, the time for pacification is long overdue.

14/04 – 15/04/2020, 12 am  – 9 pm
FARAH KHELIL, “Surface Effect”, 2018
Video capture of a projection of 61 pedagogical slides of art history pierced with a laser, dimension of each slide 24 X 36 mm, 4’37’’, Courtesy of the artist and Selma Feriani Gallery. An art of documents, of evidence, of critical reappraisal: Farah Khelil creates as a mirror of the acquired culture, often subject to doubt. She plays the role of translator, deconstructing in a perspective of cultural equity. Surface effect, installation with slide projection presented in this online edition, reinforces this position of the artist.
