Patrick Timm, delivering a letter to Southern Iran, 2020

Patrick Timm has participated in an artist residency in a Berlin refugee camp and set up a post office there back in 2020. As a result a remarkable collection of written correspondences has been created. At the end of the residency, the artist took on the role of a postman and personally delivered a letter from a refugee to his parents in southern Iran. Over the entire period, starting with his application for the residency to his return from Iran, Patrick Timm kept a logbook, which is now being officially presented in the philomena+ project space.

was born in Pinneberg near Hamburg in 1979. He first obtained a masters certificate in roof carpentry before enrolling at the Art Academy in Weißensee in Berlin.
