The performance takes place as part of the exhibition Car(ry)ing Memories by Nour Sokhon and Joanna Zabielska, curated by Aline Lenzhofer, within the festival Salam Music.

In collaboration with the performer Frederik Marroquín, artist and choreographer Joanna Zabielska brings movement to the installation ‘Design of the Anonymous’ presented in the philomena+ project space. The sculptural elements made of blue and red chequered bag parts, which are visually reminiscent of both markets and pieces of luggage, become the carrier material for personal stories and utopian ideas.

JOANNA ZABIELSKA
Joanna Zabielska (born in Warsaw, lives in Vienna) works at the intersection of art, design, architecture and city planning. Using a variety of media - from VR installations to inflatable sculptures to performances - she develops participatory, site-specific projects with the local community. After graduating in Spatial Planning at the Vienna University of Technology and in Social Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, she expanded her digital skills at Digital Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and at the Tokyo University of Arts.
