Souad Mani

August – September 2026

Souad Mani is a Tunisian visual artist and teacher who lives and works in Sousse. Her transdisciplinary work is distinguished by its techno-poetic experiments. She explores a geo-pictorial and a geo-relational approach, informed by her numerous travels and collaborations. Using photography, video, data visualizations, and land art, she questions the status of the art work, the artist, and the spectator in the era of connected objects and ephemeral images.
Her creations examine landscapes undergoing transformation under the impact of human activity, also the production of images throughout history. Her work opens perspectives on the links between art, technology, and  environment. She founded the spaces De l’image à l’atelier and the eSseda.lab.
She has exhibited at the Biennale of Photographers of the Contemporary Arab World at the Arab World Institute (Paris), at Casa Arabe (Madrid and Cordoba), at Mucem (Marseille) and at the Bardo Museum in Tunis.

In Vienna, she presents together with Vienna-based artist Emily Sarsam the philomena+ project statement at Parallel Vienna 2026.
